Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Another Draft platform, website, or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your", "the User") and Another Draft Ltd.
The Service
Another Draft is a structure-first screenwriting planning tool. It allows writers to plan beats, characters, and story structure before writing dialogue, and to export formatted scripts in standard industry formats including Final Draft (.fdx), Fade In, and Fountain.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.
Account Registration
To access the Service, you must create an account. You agree to: provide accurate and complete information when registering; keep your login credentials secure and confidential; notify us immediately at info@anotherdraft.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account; accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Subscription and Payment
5.1 Subscription Plans
Access to the Service is provided on a subscription basis. Current pricing is displayed on our website at www.anotherdraft.co.uk/pricing. Prices are in GBP and inclusive of any applicable VAT.
5.2 Billing
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings or by contacting us at info@anotherdraft.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until that date.
5.4 Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 14 days of the charge at info@anotherdraft.co.uk.
5.5 Free Trial
Where a free trial is offered, it will convert automatically to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.
5.6 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will give you at least 30 days written notice of any price increase. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Your Content
6.1 Ownership
You retain full ownership of all scripts, story structures, characters, beats, notes, and any other creative content you create, upload, or store using the Service ("Your Content"). Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights in Your Content to Another Draft Ltd.
6.2 Licence to Operate the Service
By using the Service, you grant Another Draft Ltd a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account.
6.3 AI Training - Strict Prohibition
We will never use Your Content to train, fine-tune, or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning model - our own or any third party's. Your scripts, story ideas, characters, and creative work are entirely yours. This is a core commitment of the Service.
6.4 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for Your Content. You confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.
Our Intellectual Property
The Another Draft platform, including its software, design, branding, trademarks, and all content produced by us (excluding Your Content), is owned by Another Draft Ltd and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: violate any applicable law or regulation; upload or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes third-party rights; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems; use automated tools to access or extract data from the Service without our written consent; interfere with the performance or integrity of the Service or its infrastructure; resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without authorisation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if we reasonably believe you are in breach of this section.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read our Privacy Policy at www.anotherdraft.co.uk/privacy-policy.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Another Draft Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.
Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the practices or content of such third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us at info@anotherdraft.co.uk.
Upon termination, we will retain Your Content for 30 days to allow you to export it, after which it may be deleted.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice within the Service.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Contact us first at info@anotherdraft.co.uk. We will make every effort to resolve disputes informally.
